LNG really is cleaner than coal

A series of studies agrees that using liquefied natural gas to generate electrical power is “cleaner” than burning coal.

These studies find burning LNG can mean anywhere from 25% to 50% fewer emissions, “and new technology can cut LNG emissions by 60%.”

As well, “Our BC liquefied natural gas is and will be even cleaner than any LNG tested in the studies.”

Premier’s tribute to Crystal Smith

From Crystal Smith, former chief councillor of the Haisla Nation and departing chair of our Alliance: “I was so touched to receive this letter from Premier David Eby.

“It was an incredible honour to serve as Chief Councillor of the Haisla Nation and to represent our people through the First Nations Natural Gas Alliance. . . .

“This letter is a meaningful reminder that the work we do matters. And that when we lead with heart, grounded in our values and identity, real change is possible.

Thank you, Premier Eby, for this kind recognition. It means more than I can express.”

 Update re: our LinkedIn page

Two weeks ago, LinkedIn “restricted” our page, meaning we could no longer post items on it, and our 25,000 followers could no longer get the latest news on it.

LinkedIn said this was because our page “doesn’t comply with our Professional Community Policies or LinkedIn User Agreement.” But they did not say how.

We have asked them repeatedly what is supposedly wrong with the page, and how we could fix it. We have not yet had any response.

We will keep trying. . . .
